Release is inspired by lots of bands and musicians that i liked when i was a teen like Muse, Garbage the ones I like now such as PVRIS, KFlay and Halsey to name a few. It is a huge dynamic beast of a song that ebbs and flows emotion throughout. It is essentially a victorious track over those in your life that wreck you - its that song that makes you feel empowered and enabled and strong.

RELEASE

The Devil's in the water

Playing me like castanets

Doing a dance on my back

Where is my defence at

The devil's in my back yard

Circling my house

He seems to think he can huff and puff

And blow my deck of cards down

The devil's in my memories

He owned some of those years

Ten of them I can credit him for

Along with a million tears

The devil worked through your rage

That left me battered and bruised

And all I can hope right

Is that the Devil's got to you

Oh

I'm not afraid

No no

Don't need a switch blade

No No

I’ve got this inner rage thats tuned to peace

But if you come near

I'll release the beast on you

Release the beast,

Release the beast on you

Release the beast on you

There's a light inside my soul

Shining like a diamond set in black dust

There's a light behind this veil

I've pulled down to fight with you

There's a fire in these bones

That can set it all a blaze

I'll set fire to all that been

And then rise up and fly away

I'm not afraid

No no

Don't need a switch blade

No No

I’ve got this inner rage thats tuned to peace

But if you come near

I'll release the beast on you

Release the beast,

Release the beast on you

Release the beast on you

I'm not going back

I’m not going back

I’m not going back

No no

No no

No no

No no

I’m not going back

I’m not back

I'm not afraid

No no

Don't need a switch blade

No No

I’ve got this inner rage thats tuned to peace

But if you come near

I'll release the beast on you

I'm not afraid

No no

Don't need a switch blade

No No

I’ve got this inner rage thats tuned to peace

But if you come near

I'll release the beast on you
